You may have heard of wheel alignment before, but you probably didn’t think it was important. The reality is quite different.
Tyre/wheel alignment or tracking as it’s sometimes referred to plays an important role in road safety and fuel efficiency. If your tyre’s aren’t aligned properly, they wear more quickly and consume more fuel. Not to mention the fact that they’re not as stable as they should be in icy or wet conditions.
What signs do I need to look out for?
To the untrained eye, it can be difficult to tell if you need wheel alignment, but some common signs to look out for are:
- Uneven tyre thread wear
- Vibrations in the steering wheel
- Vehicle pulling to one side
- Steering wheel isn’t centred when you’re driving straight
If you notice any of these signs, we would recommend that you get a mechanic to check your tyres. If you have any other questions, don’t be afraid to give our service team a call on 045-525 255.
